ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION
Account & subscriptions
What do I need to get started with VPNAG?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password, and save your login details. Then choose a plan in the account panel. Once you're signed in and your plan is active, use the panel's download page to get the client and subscription for your platform, then import them as instructed by the client. For your first connection, choose a region supported by the service you want to use, then visit its website to check access. Your panel account, client configuration, and account on the destination website serve different purposes; check each one separately rather than mixing up their passwords or sign-in status.
How do I update my subscription link, and when should I import it again?
Sign in to the account panel and confirm that your plan is active. Then open the subscription or configuration manager in your client, select the VPNAG configuration, and run an update. If the update fails, check whether you can access the panel on your current network, then retrieve the subscription from the panel again and import it. Once the new configuration works, remove the outdated one. Don't judge an update only by the old route name; check the update message and test the connection. Subscription links contain account access credentials, so don't post them in public forums or include them in screenshots.
Do I need to buy another plan when I switch devices?
There is no device limit. You don't need to buy another plan just because you changed devices. Sign in to the account panel on the new device, confirm that your plan is active, then get the client and subscription. VPNAG supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Choose the download for your operating system rather than copying an installer for another platform. When using multiple devices, keep an eye on your remaining data and plan status. If you stop using an old device, remove its local subscription configuration to reduce the number of places where your credentials are stored.
Why can't I download the client after signing in to the panel?
You can get the client and subscription after signing in, as long as your plan is active. First, check your plan status in the account overview, then confirm that your order has been paid. Returning to a page doesn't necessarily mean payment has been confirmed. If the order status hasn't updated, keep your payment record and contact support with the order status and any message shown. Don't create the same order repeatedly. If your plan is active but you still can't access the download, note your operating system, where you accessed the download, and the error message so support can check account permissions or page loading issues.
Does anonymous, no-logs service mean I can share my subscription link publicly?
No. Anonymous, no-logs describes VPNAG's privacy policy; it doesn't mean your account credentials can be shared. Keep your username, password, and subscription link secure, and don't send your full configuration to strangers for troubleshooting. When submitting a support ticket, provide the error message, operating system, and steps you took, and conceal the credentials in your subscription link. Read the privacy policy for details on the scope of VPNAG's privacy commitments. The destination website's own account records and usage rules are separate.
CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS
Connections & troubleshooting
The client says I'm connected. Why won't a website load?
A connected status means the client has established a route connection; it doesn't mean every app request is using that route. First, confirm your local network is working. Then check whether the client has system proxy enabled and whether its current rules send traffic for the destination website through the proxy. Open the service in a browser and note whether you see a connection timeout, a region notice, or an account error. If only one website is affected, check its region and account requirements first. If several websites fail at once, try updating the subscription or switching routes. Avoid changing all your settings at the same time.
Why does my browser work, but a particular app won't use the proxy?
Apps may use different network settings. A browser may follow the system proxy, while a standalone app, command-line tool, or IDE plugin may have its own proxy configuration. Check whether the app has proxy settings, then enter the local proxy address, port, and protocol shown in your client. Don't copy settings from another device. If the client offers tunnel mode, check its documentation and your system's permission prompts to see whether it's suitable. Reopen the app after each change to test it, and keep a copy of the original settings so you can restore them.
Subscription import failed or the route list is empty. What should I check first?
First, confirm your plan is active. Then check that the copied subscription is complete, with no extra spaces, line breaks, or text added by a messaging app. Use the import method provided in the panel and make sure your client supports the configuration format. Pasting a link into a regular browser's address bar doesn't import it into the client. If it worked before, try updating the existing subscription first. If it still fails, note the import method and error message in a support ticket. Conceal the full link and account credentials in any screenshots.
How do I reconnect after switching networks or waking my device from sleep?
First, make sure your device is connected to the current network, then check the connection status in the client. Disconnect and reconnect to the same route, then reopen the app so it can start a new session. If that doesn't work, try another available route. Sleep mode, network changes, and background permissions can all affect the connection. On mobile devices, check whether the operating system restricts the client from running in the background. Note the network conditions before and after the disconnection to help distinguish a client that hasn't reconnected, an expired app session, and an unavailable local network.
What information should I include in a support ticket about a connection issue?
Open a support ticket from the account panel. Include your device's operating system, client name, route region and type, destination app, and network conditions when the issue occurred. Describe what you expected and what happened, then list the steps you've already tried, such as updating the subscription, reconnecting, or changing routes. You can attach a screenshot of the error with sensitive details concealed, but don't include your password, full subscription link, or sensitive payment information. Clear reproduction steps are more helpful than simply saying you can't connect, and can reduce follow-up questions.
ROUTES / PERFORMANCE
Speed & routes
How should I choose a route when connections slow down during peak hours?
Keep the destination app and local network unchanged, then compare other routes in the same region. If needed, try another region supported by the destination service. This makes it easier to tell whether the current route is congested, your local network is fluctuating, or the service is responding slowly. Pause large file transfers and background updates on your device so they don't compete for local bandwidth. Don't judge performance only by route names or distance. During peak hours, choose based on real-world results, such as whether the page loads fully or video plays without interruption.
How do I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
These terms describe route types, not a fixed speed ranking. IEPL, relay, and direct routes can perform differently depending on your local network, time of day, and destination service. Start with a region supported by the destination service, then compare the available route types. For regular use, keep a route that works well on your current network, along with an alternative. The panel's current list is the source of truth for route regions and types. Don't infer a specific city, bandwidth, or service availability from a route name alone; test again if conditions change.
Which regions are covered, and where can I see the route list?
VPNAG covers 120+ countries / 180+ routes. Visit the global nodes page to learn about route types and how to choose one. The available regions and route names are shown in the account panel and the updated client list. Before choosing a route, check which regions the destination service supports rather than simply picking the closest exit location. If a tutorial screenshot doesn't match the current list, follow the panel and update your subscription. Coverage doesn't mean every route can access content restricted to every region.
Why can I browse websites on a route but not use AI or streaming services?
Loading a regular website only confirms that basic access is working. AI and streaming services may also check your exit region, account region, subscription eligibility, and their own access rules. Read the message from the service and determine whether the issue is an unsupported region, insufficient account access, or a network connection failure. Then choose a route that meets the service's requirements. After changing regions, you may need to reopen the app or start a new session, but avoid switching exit locations repeatedly and trying to sign in over and over. VPNAG's route coverage doesn't replace account eligibility or guarantee access to specific content.
Why does download speed feel different from how quickly websites respond?
Large file transfers are a better measure of sustained throughput. Website loading and AI conversations also depend on connection setup, DNS resolution, server processing, and session stability. A smooth download alone doesn't prove that an app will respond quickly. Test the tasks you actually use: check whether a page loads fully, AI responses arrive continuously, and video keeps playing. When troubleshooting, keep your local network and destination content unchanged and switch only the route. Don't compare routes based on performance across different tasks.
BILLING / REFUNDS
Billing & refunds
How much do monthly plans cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB · ¥18/month includes 250GB · ¥28/month includes 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date your plan started, not at the start of each calendar month. Consider your video streaming, file transfers, and everyday app use when choosing a plan. Your remaining data and plan status in the account overview are useful references. Monthly plans and data packages work differently, so compare both the billing method and data rules, not just the price.
What's the difference between a data package and a monthly plan?
Data packages: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. Data lasts until used and never expires. Monthly plan data resets each month on your start date, making it easier to assess usage month by month. A data package is consumed as you use it; it doesn't renew with the same amount of data every month. Before choosing, consider whether your usage is regular and whether you often transfer large files, then check the plan page and account panel. Don't assume how plans can be combined or changed. Contact support if you're unsure.
Can I upgrade halfway through my plan?
For a mid-term upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days. To upgrade, sign in to the account panel, review the available plans and actual order details, and confirm before proceeding. Don't subtract the listed prices yourself to estimate the amount due or the time added. Check your remaining data first to decide whether you need a different plan. If the panel's result differs from what you expected, keep your current plan status and order details and ask support. Don't repeatedly submit orders or make duplicate payments just to check the calculation.
Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my status doesn't update after paying?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Create an order in the account panel and pay using the method shown on the order page. After paying, check the order status in your order list, then review your plan in the account overview. If the status hasn't updated, don't pay again right away. Keep the order and payment records, and contact support with the payment method, order status, and page message. Conceal sensitive details in screenshots. Use only the payment options shown on the current order page; don't transfer money to an unfamiliar payment destination sent in a chat message.
How do I request a refund, and what information do I need?
VPNAG offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the account panel and submit a clear refund request through a support ticket, including the relevant order details and current order status. Read the refund policy and terms of service for eligibility details. You don't need to keep troubleshooting connection issues to submit a request, and don't post payment records publicly. If you have a pending payment or duplicate orders, describe each one separately in your ticket so they can be checked. Follow progress through the ticket replies; this page doesn't promise a separate processing time.
